Senior Product Manager with 15+ years across public services, banking, blockchain and startups. I find out what's worth building before a team commits time to it, then make sure the right thing gets built.
At VDAB (Flanders' public employment service, March 2024 to June 2026), I coached product managers from a feature-factory, reactive mindset to an impact-driven one, testing assumptions against real user need before committing build time, not after. Two planned features, including a personality-to-job-openings matching tool, were tested this way before either was built. Neither turned out to be the answer the teams expected. That shift, and the cross-silo alignment I set up to support it, saved an estimated 800+ person-days across the build and lifetime upkeep of both products.
At Liantis (a Belgian HR and payroll services provider), I facilitated C-level workshops to define the platform's North Star, and helped the team shift from writing functional requirements to defining success criteria before building.
At De Lijn (Flanders' public transit operator), real-time travel information coverage rose from 40% to 60% of trips, concentrated on the highest-ridership routes, with a sharp drop in complaints about misunderstood travel information. Working across communications, marketing, UX and data teams, digital subscription renewals rose from 55% to 73%, with the purchase flow itself improving from 60% to over 90% completion.
I look at the whole picture before I take a problem at face value: what we're actually trying to solve, what difference it would make, whether it's worth doing at all. I've worked as a service designer, UX strategist and product coach along the way. The job title adapts to the context; how I work doesn't.
Based in Meråker, near Trondheim. Looking for a permanent position, open to roles based in Trondheim, remote for a Belgian company, or fully remote. Freelance work is possible where a role specifically calls for it. My Norwegian is still developing, so I'm currently strongest in English-speaking teams.
