What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a coding role where I can own compliance-focused medical coding, denial root-cause work, and appeals. I want to apply EPIC and payer policy research to improve accuracy and reimbursement, with room to grow within a strong, process-driven team.

I’m a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) who delivers accurate medical coding with a strong focus on denial management, appeals, and compliance. I bring a detail-oriented, data-driven approach to interpreting payer policies and identifying coding trends to support successful claim submission.

In my current role as a medical coder/biller, I work across inpatient and outpatient critical care, supporting credit and collection and applying deep policy interpretation and AAPC guidelines while using the EPIC platform. Previously, I served as a Denial Medical Coder / Appeals Specialist, reviewing and coding documentation in EPIC and analyzing denied claims to identify root causes and submit accurate appeals.

I’m skilled in aligning documentation and coding practices with payer policies through policy research and compliance auditing. My training includes Fraud/Waste/Abuse, confidential record keeping, and HIPAA-focused standards, with specialization in pulmonary and orthopedic coding.

Beyond coding, I’ve built credibility through years of leadership and service, managing operations, inspections, scheduling, and personnel with an emphasis on accuracy and accountability. That experience strengthens how I communicate with billing teams, maintain organization under pressure, and protect data integrity while working toward better reimbursement outcomes.
