Jenen Hasan
@jenenhasan
Junior backend engineer specializing in AI-powered systems, data-driven applications, and production-ready services.
What I'm looking for
I’m a recent Software Engineering graduate specializing in backend development, AI integration, and data-driven systems, with hands-on experience building production-grade AI solutions. I bring a strong backend foundation and a focus on reliable, measurable outcomes from day one.
During my Software Engineer Intern role at the Near East Innovation Center, I built a multilingual healthcare chatbot powered by the OpenAI API. I integrated Python, Flask, NLP, and a Random Forest classifier to adapt responses to user expertise and medical inquiries, and I added English/Turkish speech recognition using pyttsx3 and gTTS for voice-driven accessibility. I also contributed to Professor Dux, an AI-powered virtual professor used by university students and medical professionals across multiple departments.
In a subsequent internship, I developed a browser-based screen-sharing application for Professor Dux using JavaScript, HTML, and WebRTC. I designed an intuitive interface for professors to control IoT devices (projectors, AC) via Raspberry Pi, eliminating direct hardware interaction and streamlining both in-class and remote presentations at scale—built with usability and real-world deployment in mind.
Through my projects, I’ve continued pushing backend + AI integration: I built Diva, a voice-activated AI assistant for developers, integrating the Gemini API for real-time error explanations and combining multilingual speech recognition with gesture controls, plus a Quantum-AI ideation module using Qiskit circuits with GPT-4. I also built a production-grade automated trading system using FinBERT, PyTorch, and CUDA with a multi-layer risk management design, point-in-time backtesting to prevent look-ahead bias, and fault-tolerant infrastructure. I’m currently expanding into Docker and AWS, and I’m seeking a junior backend engineer role to build dependable, AI-enabled services in a collaborative team.
