Jay Croft

I'm a Wellington-based technology consultant with 13 years at Fusion5, working across enterprise platforms, systems integration, project delivery and service management. I've always enjoyed understanding how things work, solving problems and finding better ways to do things.

More recently, I've become heavily involved in hands-on AI-assisted product development. I independently founded, designed and launched Coverly, an AI-powered home contents documentation app available on iOS and Android. I've taken it from an initial idea through interface design, development, testing and release, using technologies including React Native, Expo, Supabase and OpenAI (coverly.nz)

Outside my professional work, I enjoy experimenting with technology and building things simply because I find them interesting. Recent projects include Where Can I Not Go? (wherecaninotgo.com), an interactive world map, and an experimental physics-based game built with Godot.

My background gives me a combination of enterprise consulting experience, technical problem-solving and practical product development. I'm particularly interested in remote opportunities involving AI, product development, creative technology and solutions consulting.

I enjoy reading, sports, a bunch of hobbies, learning new technologies, exploring ideas and turning them into something people can actually use.
