What I'm looking for

I'm looking to continue teaching, researching, and translating history into public-facing work, including film and advocacy projects.

I teach Readings in Philippine History, Logic and Critical Thinking, Ethics, and The Life and Works of Rizal at Mapua Malayan Colleges Mindanao. I also serve as Lead Faculty for Readings in Philippine History and as an undergraduate thesis adviser.

My work connects history, public history, and development studies. I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Development Studies at Ateneo de Davao University.

I have brought historical research to the screen as a researcher and scriptwriter for “Padyak” and “The Restless Heron,” a film on the establishment of the Sultanate of Talik in South Cotabato.

“The Restless Heron” received Best Feature Film Screenplay at the Caorle International Film Festival and was recognized through UP Diliman SineKAS 2023 and the International Film Festival, Manhattan 2023. I also present research on civil authority and jurisdictional conflict in the Spanish Philippines.
