I'm a research associate in higher education at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow, where I am pursuing a PhD and conducting research on cancer discourse, metaphor, language, and therapeutic communication.
My published work includes research on the therapeutic potential of twenty-first-century music for cancer survivorship, metaphor in cancer discourse, cancer journalism in Nigeria, and cancer representation in English teen sick-lit. I have presented this work at the Applied Linguistics and Professional Practice conference at the University of Glasgow.
Previously, I managed research and development at Jon Nwene Services, tutoring undergraduate students in research writing and supporting master's students with thesis completion. I also mentor students on career development and personal development plan design.
