Jackson Lenjo
@jacksonlenjo
Health Records & Information Management Officer (HRIM) specializing in clinical coding, EHR governance, and DHIS2/KHIS reporting.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Council-registered Health Records & Information Management Officer (HRIM) with progressive experience across private specialist hospitals and public sub-county facilities in Kenya. I combine strict regulatory compliance with hands-on data operations to strengthen institutional health information systems.
In my current role, I manage and secure longitudinal patient records across electronic (EHR) and paper repositories. I lead digitization, indexing, and archiving while enforcing Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 compliance through electronic access controls and physical confidentiality barriers.
I’m also accountable for clinical coding and revenue assurance workflows, applying ICD-10 and ICD-11 for outpatient and inpatient diagnoses and procedures. I validate, process, and audit Social Health Authority (SHA) and NHIF claims to reduce rejections, and I prepare structured record justifications for stakeholders.
Beyond operations, I compile facility performance statistics for leadership and manage the electronic transmission of mandatory metrics into national DHIS2 and KHIS platforms on schedule. I also mentor through KMTC as an external lecturer and research supervisor, aligning students with ethical informatics practices, data protection expectations, and real-world health records standards.
