Ivanna Bermudez
@ivannabermudez
Linguistics-focused transcriber and language educator advancing minority language research.
What I'm looking for
I’m pursuing a Multilingual Master Program in Linguistics and Literary Studies, and my current master thesis focuses on researching minority linguistic communities of less than five thousand speakers in Mexico and the reach of federal linguistic policy to aid in language maintenance and revitalization. I’m driven by documentation that strengthens minority languages and supports community language maintenance.
Alongside my academic work, I’ve gained hands-on experience through roles including a Linguistic Transcriber Intern position at Accapella Group and teaching and coordination work as a Secondary School Theater Teacher and Enrichment Program Coordinator and Manager. I combine careful research habits with proactive problem-solving, strong interpersonal communication, and practical skills like event planning and media creation to turn educational and community goals into real outcomes.
