Isaiah ogaga Gere

Isaiah Ogaga Gere, LLB, BL, DCP, ARMN, is an experienced and dedicated legal professional with a strong background spanning over seven years in Regulatory Compliance, Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CFT), Risk Management, and Programs Management.

He currently serves as the Managing Partner at Ganador Legal Practitioners in Abuja, Nigeria, a role he has held since October 2020. As Managing Partner, he is responsible for setting the long-term vision and firm-wide strategy, managing the firm's financial health, overseeing all non-legal operations (HR, IT, Marketing), and cultivating a high-performance, ethical firm culture.

His diverse experience includes serving as a Legal Business Partner at the African Leadership University, where he provided counsel on regulatory, corporate, contractual, and employment matters, ensuring compliance with laws including data privacy regulations like GDPR.

Other significant roles include:

• Head of Legal & Compliance at Leaser Towers Ltd (Nov '21 - July 2025), where he led the formation and implementation of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) policies and managed litigation cases.

• Programs Manager at Transparent Protection Ltd/Gte, where he developed and managed programs focused on insurance awareness and claim settlement for the underprivileged.

• Anti-Laundering/Legal Officer at ISG Consulting Ltd., providing AML/CFT compliance assistance to clients and contributing to the drafting of the Insurance Consolidated Bill.

• In-House Legal Counsel at the Nigeria Defence Headquarters, advising on human rights, new policies, and legislation, and involved in drafting international treaties with countries like China and Vietnam.

Mr. Gere is a certified Designated Compliance Professional (DCP) and a Risk Management Professional. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and the Risk Managers Society of Nigeria (RIMSON).

He holds an LLB Hons (Law) from the University of Benin and completed his Bachelors of Laws at the Nigerian Law School. His core competencies include Legal Drafting and Research, Corporate Governance, Data Protection, and Program Management.
