Isabela Macavei
@isabelamacavei
Senior program and policy analyst and leader, turning complex defense operations into clear action.
What I'm looking for
I’m a polyglot U.S. Veteran Commissioned Officer with legal and policy training (MFA, LL.M., MBA, JD/LL.B.) and practical expertise across four continents. I’m self-directed, energized by change, and known for creative problem-solving while motivating and developing teams.
In defense settings, I’ve served as a Management and Program Analyst and Project Manager, producing analysis reports for Cyber Development and emerging directorates and supporting program operations. I led financial projects, gathered key performance indicators for resolutions and POAMs/contingencies, and supported training of 800+ staff.
I also bring operational planning and policy depth from maritime and international roles, including drafting orders, aligning legal objectives with missions, and serving as liaison with allies and federal inter-agency partners. Today, as a Manager (Independent Consultant) at LEGALSHIELD, I recruit, manage, train, and mentor independent consultants while providing legal plans for businesses and families in the USA and Canada.
