Irina Mavjee

I am a seasoned communications and marketing professional with a diverse career spanning journalism, corporate communications, public relations and business development. I currently serve as Administrative Officer, where I support institutional operations and contribute to the planning and delivery of educational and community-focused initiatives, including executive and governance support to the organisation's Chair and Board.

I began my professional career as a reporter and television presenter at TV Zimbo, where I produced and hosted both news and automotive content. My entrepreneurial drive led me to create Ignição, the channel's flagship automotive programme, which I managed both editorially and commercially.

I also lectured in Communication Sociology and Journalism Theory & Practice at Universidade Agostinho Neto, combining academic theory with industry practice. From 2020 to 2024, I led communication, marketing and business development at Click Saúde, where I directed internal and external communication strategies, brand positioning and client relations, whilst managing a multidisciplinary team and a substantial monthly operational budget.

Alongside my professional roles, I undertake freelance projects in personal and corporate communication, marketing consultancy, business development, events and public relations. I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Social Communication from Universidade Católica Portuguesa and a Digital Marketing Certificate from the Digital School of Marketing.

I am committed to lifelong learning and community service, and I volunteer within the Ismaili Community and the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). I am based in Luanda, Angola, and am fluent in Portuguese and English.
