Irikidzayi Decent Ndongwe

I’m a History lecturer focused on teaching, dissertation supervision, and clear academic assessment. At Midlands State University, I develop and teach undergraduate modules, oversee dissertation writing, and grade examinations, written assignments, and oral presentations.

My teaching background also includes Graduate Teaching Assistant and Teaching Assistant roles where I planned and facilitated tutorials and discussion sections across History and related departments, prepared course materials, and supported students through structured grading and learning activities.

As a researcher, I specialize in qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and presentation, with ongoing projects on soil conservation and Black farmers’ inclusion in colonial Zimbabwe, grassroots politics and urban decay, and settler-state relations. I’ve also engaged the public through cultural awareness campaigns for African immigrant communities and provided support for victims of Gender Based Violence, while building my research profile through fellowships, grants, and conference presentations.
