I am a dedicated researcher and educator specializing in African diaspora literature, Gender Studies, digital humanities, and African literature, holding a PhD in African Languages and Literatures from the University of Johannesburg.
I have taught Literature in English, African Literature, Shona and English language across secondary and tertiary levels, most recently as an English Language and Literature in English tutor at the Catholic University of Zimbabwe.
My research focuses on migration, belonging and the African diaspora, with a doctoral dissertation titled "Home is a Foreign Country: The Dynamics of Migration and Belonging in African Literature" and multiple peer-reviewed publications addressing economic and political push factors of African-Western migration.
I bring strong classroom management, independent research capability, and collaborative experience, supported by awards including a URC International Scholarship and recognition as a top academic achiever at doctoral level.
