At BNSF Railway, I own enterprise architecture for SAP and a database estate spanning eight platforms. I led the migration of five database platforms to AWS, using EC2 rehosting and Amazon RDS replatforming.
I modernized BNSF’s SAP platform through a heterogeneous migration from Windows and SQL Server to Linux and SAP HANA, followed by an upgrade to HANA 2.0. I also completed the S/4HANA readiness check and led SAP system upgrades.
As Sr DBA Manager, I lead a team of 20 Database Administrators and founded the Database Center of Excellence. I led the retirement of legacy DB2 mainframe databases, with zero data loss and estimated savings of over $1M a year.
Earlier at BNSF, I spearheaded the first implementation of Bowbridge Anti-Virus for SAP and led the first Dynatrace APM deployment for SAP. I’m SAP certified in S/4HANA Conversion and SAP System Upgrade.
