Hazel Lilly Charlin

I’m a biochemistry master’s student currently pursuing my degree at Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru. I bring cooperative teamwork and analytical skills to every lab and research task, with a strong motivation to support reliable, society-focused outcomes.

In my BIOZEEN internship, I supported protein science and drug design work by applying protein sequence alignment, protein visualization with Rasmol, and molecular docking. I also built hands-on experience with bioinformatics tools and software, including Databases, Clustal omega, Swiss Model homology modelling, and Autodock Vina.

Previously, during my introduction to genetic engineering internship at Intrainz Innovation Private Ltd., I worked on DNA extraction and recombinant DNA technology. I contributed to biochemical profiling of Momordica charantia and Arachis hypogaea extracts, including Soxhlet extraction and docking analysis of Neophytadiene, while evaluating anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial potentials.

I’m comfortable with enzymatic assays and biochemical techniques such as chromatography, gel electrophoresis, UV spectrophotometry, and pH meters with calibration. I’ve also earned certifications in Medicinal Chemistry, Bioreactors, Cell Biology, and R analytics, and I was a 1st-position winner in Biothesis, along with poster presentation experience at an international conference.
