At HSBC, I delivered AppDynamics and Splunk Enterprise observability for a core banking modernisation programme migrating services to Kubernetes, Linux, and Windows Server. I also guided application teams on OpenTelemetry instrumentation and distributed tracing.
I designed and built near-real-time health dashboards and synthetic monitoring for more than 100 critical banking services, giving senior management and global support teams actionable availability visibility.
Across HSBC roles, I’ve developed monitoring standards, dashboards, and alerting with AppDynamics, Splunk Enterprise, Datadog, and Grafana. I’ve also defined SLI/SLO/SLA practices and improved incident response by closing monitoring gaps and retiring non-actionable alerts.
I’ve administered Splunk Enterprise on AWS with Terraform and CI/CD, supported formal on-call rotations, and served as a Level 3 escalation point. More recently, I designed AI-assisted workflows with prompt engineering and GitHub Copilot to automate service questionnaire scoring and reporting.
