At ACI Worldwide, I own MCAS, the core payment processing engine in the Universal Payments Framework, supporting cards and real-time payment rails for central banks and Tier-1 institutions. I lead its evolution toward event-driven payment choreography and contributed to ACI Connetic, a unified platform for account-to-account, merchant, biller and card payments.
I turn scheme, regulatory and distributed-systems constraints into product decisions that hold under production volume. I’ve doubled verified throughput from 2,000 to 4,000 TPS, opened cloud-native deployment as a route to market, delivered national payment infrastructure to fixed regulatory deadlines, and previously built automation that cut release testing from two weeks to one day.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Owns product for MCAS, the core payment processing engine in ACI's Universal Payments Framework, and leads the remodelling from payment orchestration to choreography. Delivered UPF's contribution to ACI Connetic and doubled verified throughput to 4,000 TPS.
Owned the backlog for three teams in parallel, ran customer discovery that led to cloud-agnostic architecture, and resolved critical production issues. Delivered national payment infrastructure for Qatar Central Bank and drove throughput from ~1,000 to 2,000 TPS.
Extended automated validation across scheme gateway implementations and designed test coverage for multi-leg payment workflows. Built an automated release-candidate pipeline and mentored four engineers.
Built the platform's first automated test suite and integrated it into Jenkins for daily deployment and nightly regression. Cut end-of-release functional testing from two weeks to one day and reduced release effort from 3 days to 6 hours.
