@harrisonchapman
Event & Operations Manager at the City of Charleston, directing two municipal market programs and their vendor operations.
What I'm looking for
At the City of Charleston, I direct end-to-end operations for two municipal market programs, including site readiness, vendor deployment, customer experience, and live issue resolution. These programs operate across more than 70 annual dates and serve up to 5,000–6,500 visitors weekly.
I oversee recruitment, scheduling, compliance, and retention for a portfolio of approximately 200–250 businesses, and administer approximately $200,000 in annual program revenue. I also built a reusable spreadsheet system for vendor scheduling, fee tracking, and payment collection.
I led the launch and continued development of the West Ashley Farmers Market, and was selected by the City’s Mayor to retain management responsibility after its pilot season. My work also includes coordinating municipal departments and community partners, supervising a part-time assistant, and supporting public-facing programs with financial controls and service continuity.
