Guilherme Jaccoud
@guilhermejaccoud
Senior SRE and platform engineer specializing in Kubernetes reliability and GitOps.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Platform engineer / SRE with 15+ years across fintech, e-commerce, and crypto, focused on Kubernetes platform engineering, multi-cloud infrastructure, and end-to-end reliability programs. At Kraken, I helped safeguard reliability, latency, and security for high-performance trading systems while partnering with backend teams as a codeowner on the critical path.
I’ve owned major surfaces like an API gateway (code, configuration, release pipeline, and incident response) and built automation such as GitOps tooling for Nomad to deploy, promote canary releases, and trigger rollbacks. I also architected active-active multi-region Kubernetes with Cloudflare-managed traffic distribution and ArgoCD for zero-downtime availability, introduced observability and security guardrails (OPA/Vault/mTLS), and reinforced resilience with load-testing and chaos engineering practices.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Safeguarded reliability, latency, and security for high-performance trading systems as codeowner for production-critical changes. Supported 60+ backend services, owned the API gateway release/incident-response surface, and built GitOps automation for Nomad with canary deployments and automated rollbacks.
Architected an active-active, multi-region Kubernetes platform with automatic failover and ArgoCD GitOps deployment authority, enabling zero-downtime availability during regional incidents. Built a Rust deployment tool for Helm/Kustomize manifest delivery, implemented Teleport break-glass access, and delivered a daily load-testing pipeline to surface scalability headroom via New Relic.
