Designed and developed ETL processes and data warehouse structures for AHPRA, working with stakeholders, IT teams and vendors to define data requirements and source systems. Led DBA and developer teams through migration of 100 databases, 12 servers and 200 SSIS packages to consolidated VM infrastructure, upgrading all databases to SQL Server 2008. Investigated performance bottlenecks preventing the iApply Online Form system from meeting SLA requirements before production release. Enhanced Melbourne Water’s Atlas Reporting system, a .NET application with a SQL Server backend and Business Objects reporting layer. Gathered stakeholder requirements and designed, developed, tested, tuned and deployed SQL queries and reports across Test and Production. Facilitated UAT and delivered reporting improvements that increased visibility of critical development information.

Developed and supported .NET web applications backed by SQL Server 2005 for Coles Group Asia’s eTechnology B2B team. Analysed SQL Server database performance and provided recommendations to improve reliability and efficiency. Delivered application enhancements, resolved database-related issues, designed Control-M/eNDI data-transfer workflows, and established formal Java code-review standards.

Served as primary DBA for UCMS’s SQL Server 2000 environments supporting internal .NET call centre applications. Conducted stress & volume testing across the warehouse, ETL & portal, coordinated UAT, & delivered the solution into production.

Led redevelopment of Transurban’s 600+ report MS Access system into SQL Server & SSRS. Rationalised & consolidated reports, gathering data requirements & developing/testing SQL Server stored procedures.
