What I'm looking for

I'm looking to build and operate reliable backend systems, especially in Elixir/Erlang and the BEAM, with ownership from design through deployment and monitoring.

At ecom.tech, I upstreamed real-time PostgreSQL connection-pool metrics to db_connection and added ltxtquery support to postgrex, contributing directly to core Elixir ecosystem libraries.

I profiled a 6,000 rps HTTP handler and reduced CPU usage by about 30% by removing binary allocations, redundant Enum passes, and JSON overhead. I also hardened KafkaBatcher by identifying GenServer call contention and batching opportunities.

At Panzerdog, I rebuilt BattlePass and ClanPass backends that generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue, reduced DynamoDB load by about 25%, and owned player-facing systems for a real-time multiplayer mobile shooter.

I work end-to-end, from design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, incident debugging, and infrastructure as code. I started in Ruby on Rails, found my long-term direction in Elixir and the BEAM, and also work with Rust and Go.
