At ABB GISPL, I owned end-to-end mechanical development of an ATS frame, converting a fixed-frame design into a complete withdrawable solution. I took it from concept and 3D modeling through mechanism development, prototyping, validation, and manufacturing support, and demonstrated the product to global customers.
I design components and assemblies for circuit breakers and switchgear, including sheet-metal and molded-plastic parts. I also developed compact assemblies integrating PCBs, MOSFETs, and heat sinks, and used structural analysis to validate strength and deformation.
In collaboration with manufacturers and global engineering teams, I investigated prototype failures and implemented improvements based on testing and manufacturing feedback. My MTech thesis, completed in collaboration with BHEL, focused on shock and vibration analysis of rotary frequency converters; I developed a MATLAB solver and GUI package, and published the research in the Journal of Vibration and Control.
