What I'm looking for

I seek research-focused roles combining NLP and computer vision applied to low-resource languages, collaborative teams, and opportunities to mentor students.

I am a machine learning researcher and lecturer focused on applying NLP and computer vision to low-resource language settings, with an MSc in Information Technology from Bahir Dar Institute of Technology and multiple peer-reviewed publications.

I conduct research using pre-trained models, lead projects such as mobile deep-learning pneumonia detection, and teach AI and programming courses while advising student projects at Mizan-Tepi University.

My work has earned a Best MSc Thesis award and travel grants, and I collaborate across diverse research teams to produce reproducible, impactful results for resource-constrained environments.
