What I'm looking for

I'm seeking backend engineering roles where I can own systems that run in production.

At NewsBridge AI, I design and build the backend of an AI-powered civic-tech platform that carries citizen reports from WhatsApp to a journalist dashboard. I’ve built more than 30 secured REST API endpoints and features for processing reports in text, audio, video, and images.

I integrated Gemini and OpenAI APIs for summarisation, claim extraction, translation, and classification, while limiting third-party calls to report content and encrypting sensitive data. I also tune prompts and select models against latency, accuracy, and cost requirements.

To keep the platform reliable under load, I use caching, background tasks, asynchronous execution, and database query tuning; k6 tests validated performance for 1,000+ concurrent users. I added rate limiting, locking, idempotency controls, JWT authentication, and role-based access control.

At Mentorled, I built the backend of GiveRoll, a giveaway platform, including REST and WebSocket endpoints for entries, authentication, invitations, and live draws. I deployed it to Render with Daphne and Redis, then traced and resolved production WebSocket errors.
