At Diamond Mind, LLC, I develop and deliver training, curricula, and continuing education for higher education, behavioral health, justice systems, and veteran-serving organizations. I created the CAM Framework™—Connection, Authenticity, Meaning—to turn evidence-informed ideas about identity disruption, disconnection, and purpose into practical tools for people navigating major transitions.
Through my work as a Recovery Consultant with Opioid Response Network, I provide training, technical assistance, and consultation to organizations serving people affected by substance use, with an emphasis on veteran wellness and peer recovery. I also developed provider education, veteran huddles, and licensed digital content for the CHESS Health Veteran Initiative.
I co-founded Realize U 252, a Level III recovery residence serving men in Eastern North Carolina. I developed its strengths-based residential curriculum, operational policies, and participant-support processes.
My perspective draws on a 16-year enlisted-to-officer career in the U.S. Marine Corps, completing undergraduate education while on active duty, and graduate education during military transition. I speak and train on veteran transition, recovery, resilience, and post-traumatic growth, including my TEDxApex talk, “The Unspoken Trauma All Veterans Face.”
