What I'm looking for
I am an aspiring cybersecurity professional currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, with an expected graduation in May 2026. My education has equipped me with a solid foundation in programming, management information systems, and software and hardware concepts. I am actively enhancing my skills through the Google Cybersecurity Certificate and CompTIA Security+ certifications, which are currently in progress.
My technical expertise spans various areas, including cybersecurity and threat detection, scripting and automation, and infrastructure and network security. I have hands-on experience with SOC monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk. Additionally, I have conducted threat hunts and simulated ransomware investigations, showcasing my ability to analyze and respond to security incidents effectively.
In my previous role as a Retail Associate at Lowe’s Home Improvement, I honed my customer service skills and demonstrated my ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. I am eager to leverage my technical skills and practical experience in a cybersecurity role that allows me to contribute to a team focused on protecting digital assets and enhancing security protocols.
