Fazlul Haq
@fazlulhaq
Geographer and cryo-climate researcher focused on transboundary water security.
What I'm looking for
I am a geographer and cryo-climate researcher with a PhD who studies glacial, hydrological, and socio-environmental dynamics in the Hindukush-Karakoram-Himalayan region and the Indus Basin. I have held postdoctoral and research scientist positions at the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center, secured competitive grants, authored textbooks, and supervised numerous MS/PhD theses.
My work bridges physical and human dimensions of climate change — from cryo-hydrology and glacial mass-balance studies to water diplomacy and resource management—producing peer-reviewed publications and funded projects that inform policy and transboundary water security.
