At University of Exeter, I researched environmentally benign porous adsorbents for removing emerging contaminants from water. My PhD thesis, “Two Dimensional Environmentally Benign Porous Adsorbents for Emerging Contaminants Removal,” focused on sustainable materials and wastewater treatment applications.
I contributed to the UK–India FaME (Fate and Management of Emerging Contaminants) project, studying contaminants including PFAS, pharmaceuticals, and industrial dyes. I applied adsorption models and surface chemistry principles to assess material efficiency and process viability, and developed frameworks for scaling lab findings toward practical deployment.
As a Committee Member at American Water Works Association, I moderate conference sessions and am authoring the M71 Climate Action Plan mitigation chapter. My earlier teaching and research roles included materials science, nanotechnology, and laboratory work at Sharda University and CDAC Centre for Development of Advanced Computing.
