Arjav Sharma
@arjavsharma
I build precision quantum-physics experiments and teach physics.
What I'm looking for
I've advanced precision measurement research at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, optimizing NMR gyroscope modulation and demodulation algorithms in Mathematica and testing FPGA hardware integration through LabVIEW. My work on cesium lattice optical clocks demonstrated atomic transitions and Zeeman shifts while reducing magnetic noise and systematic uncertainty; it contributed to a 2024 U.S. patent and a 2022 arXiv preprint.
I've also built rubidium magneto-optic trapping systems, laser and vacuum instrumentation, and digitally controlled mechanical shutters at IIT Roorkee. Alongside research, I teach and support physics students through labs, discussion sections, office hours, exam reviews, mentoring, outreach, and international-student engagement.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Led and graded discussion sections and labs, ran office hours, and led review sessions for exams for a general physics course. Also led and graded lab sections for an advanced undergraduate optics course and assisted professors in grading assignments for an introductory physics course.
Education
