What I'm looking for

I’m seeking opportunities in child and adolescent mental health research, global and public mental health, programme development, mental health promotion, and community- or school-based initiatives, especially those improving awareness, early intervention and evidence-based support for young people.

At King's College London, I developed an independent research proposal on adjunctive curcumin for adolescents with Major Depressive Disorder. The project used a pilot randomised controlled trial framework and was awarded Distinction.

I critically reviewed research on adolescent depression, adjunctive treatments, curcumin and neurobiological mechanisms. I also designed the proposed methodology, analysis and reporting strategy, considering feasibility and ethical issues in research involving adolescents.

Since 2018, I’ve served as a Board Member & Treasurer at Akkara Foundation, a non-profit supporting children with developmental, psychological and rehabilitation needs. I contribute to governance, strategic planning and programme review across child development, early intervention, rehabilitation and community-based services.

My work at Akkara Foundation includes reviewing programme performance and evaluation findings, safeguarding and other organisational policies, and financial planning. Sustained experience working with children and families inspired my transition from electronics and communication engineering into mental health.
