I’m looking to build and deploy production ML/NLP systems that deliver measurable impact—through robust data pipelines, monitoring, and automation—while collaborating with teams that value reliability, speed of iteration, and clean engineering practices.

I’m an AI Engineer and Software Developer focused on building and deploying production machine learning systems end-to-end—data pipelines, model development, deployment, and monitoring. I’ve designed real-time ML solutions and NLP systems serving large user bases in enterprise environments.

At Safaricom PLC, I architected and deployed an ensemble ML pipeline (XGBoost + LSTM) for real-time M-PESA fraud detection, reaching 97% precision and preventing an estimated $2.4M in fraudulent transactions in the first year. I also built multilingual (English/Swahili) NLP chatbots using Rasa and GPT-based intent classification across USSD and WhatsApp, cutting call-centre volume by 20% while handling 500K+ monthly conversations.

I complement my ML work with software engineering and platform skills—RESTful APIs and microservices in Python (FastAPI) and Node.js, CI/CD with GitHub Actions, Docker, and Kubernetes on AWS EKS, and high-throughput data pipelines with Apache Kafka and Spark (8M+ events daily).
