At Addis Ababa University, I built the NestJS and Bun backend for a native-language data collection platform that gathered 100K+ audio submissions in Amharic, Afaan Oromo, and Somali. I also created automated and human review workflows to validate submissions.
At Eaglepoint AI, I built infrastructure for collecting and evaluating AI training data and wrote solutions, test suites, and SFT and RL data used to train ByteDance’s Seed model. As lead engineer, I guided a team of four developers.
At Rem Assistance Inc., I build a platform connecting Ethiopian talent with US clients, including its frontend and integrations. I improved its mobile PageSpeed performance score from 61 to 96 and its SEO score from 83 to 100.
In freelance work, I built appointment automation used by five dental clinics and a video-ad pipeline that saved a client about 10 hours of manual work per week. I also designed and am building Eskista Marketplace, a Telegram Mini App backed by a 26-table PostgreSQL schema and more than 200 REST API endpoints.
