Enya Tiu

I am a Registered Psychometrician and a recent graduate of the Master in Psychology program at Ateneo de Davao University as of June 2024. My professional journey is defined by a decade-long commitment to mental health advocacy and seven years of experience bridging the gap between high-level organizational operations and evidence-based psychological practice. Having successfully navigated roles in the public sector, medical industry, and global digital operations, I am now strategically transitioning into a career in Research Assistance. I aim to leverage my advanced academic training and deep understanding of human behavior to support both academic and corporate research initiatives.

My recent graduate work provides a strong foundation for this transition, specifically through my mixed-methods Action Research which explored the impact of parenting neurodivergent children on the well-being of their guardians. By integrating qualitative interviews with quantitative questionnaire analysis, I evaluated the specific factors influencing guardian coping mechanisms and identified critical preferences for therapeutic programs. This project demonstrated my ability to handle sensitive subject matter with academic rigor while producing actionable data for clinical and community development.

Beyond my academic research, I possess extensive experience in large-scale data management and psychometric assessment. During my tenure as a Human Resource Assistant for the Local Government Unit of General Santos City, I managed the administration of industrial-focused psychological tests for thousands of applicants while ensuring strict compliance with government recruitment policies. My technical proficiency extends to data organization and analysis using Google Sheets, which I have utilized to track performance metrics and optimize operational workflows.

In addition to my technical skills, I am a proven leader in the mental health community, currently serving as the Vice-Chairperson for Mindanao at Youth for Mental Health, Inc.. In this capacity, I lead regional awareness campaigns, facilitate training sessions for youth leaders, and engage with policymakers to advocate for essential mental health reforms. My diverse background—ranging from managing complex global operations for C-suite executives to spearheading grassroots advocacy—allows me to approach research with a balanced perspective on organizational efficiency and human-centered results. I am eager to contribute my analytical skills and clinical insights to a research team dedicated to making a meaningful social or organizational impact.
