What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can lead and teach phlebotomy with a focus on patient safety, HIPAA compliance, and clear communication—while supporting smooth lab workflow and exam readiness for learners.

I bring 20 years of experience in the medical field, combining hands-on venipuncture expertise with a strong teaching focus. As a Lead Phlebotomy Technician and instructor, I guide learners through human anatomy and physiology, infection control, patient preparation, and the legal and ethical considerations behind clinical care.

I teach the full phlebotomy practice—blood collection and specimen handling using vacutainer holders, vacutainer needles, infusion sets, butterfly needles, and syringe blood procedures. I also train students on the order of draw and direct blood draw techniques, while preparing them to take the National Phlebotomy Association (NPA) national phlebotomy exam.

I’ve also supported program operations and patient workflow: I participated in intake for adult program participants, conducted externship site visits, delivered refresher courses for alumni and the NPA exam, and assisted colleagues with navigating STARS school information system. My clinical foundation includes completing 486 venipuncture sessions with a 95% success rate, performing pro-time-glucose and A1C-glucose testing, and administering ECG/EKG with HIPAA-focused professionalism.
