What I'm looking for

I'm seeking to contribute my laboratory leadership, molecular diagnostics, and infectious disease surveillance experience to evidence-based global health programs that strengthen surveillance systems and improve public health outcomes.

I've spent 43 years at icddr,b advancing infectious disease surveillance, molecular diagnostics, and public health research in Bangladesh. In the Virology Laboratory, I led laboratory activities for 10 rounds of National HIV Surveillance and supported evidence-based public health decision-making.

I've coordinated testing and surveillance for HIV, influenza, SARS-CoV-2, RSV, HCV, HPV, sexually transmitted infections, and emerging infectious diseases. My work includes outbreak investigation, laboratory confirmation, molecular epidemiology, bioinformatics, and technical reporting.

I helped implement ISO 15189 quality management systems, achieving accreditation for seven laboratory assays, and coordinated external quality assessment through UK NEQAS and CAP. I've also developed and maintained more than 200 SOPs for research, diagnostic services, and laboratory quality management.

I've authored more than 35 peer-reviewed publications and trained over 200 physicians, scientists, laboratory professionals, and public health personnel in molecular diagnostics, biosafety, quality systems, and research methods. I bring experience partnering with government agencies, WHO, CDC-supported initiatives, universities, and global research collaborators to strengthen laboratory surveillance and public health programs.
