Dual-credentialed CPA/CMA corporate controller who builds compliant close, ERP, and cash forecasting for CFOs.
What I'm looking for
I’m a finance executive with dual credentials (CPA, CMA) and 25+ years of experience leading accounting and controllership functions across public, private, and PE-backed companies. I’ve worked across industries and company sizes, including a $125M manufacturer and a $31B global medical device leader.
In my current role as Corporate Controller at Picarro, Inc., I oversee the full monthly close—payroll, AP, AR, fixed assets, intercompany eliminations, sales and use tax (Avalara), and revenue—reporting results to the CFO and Board each period. I lead ASC 606 revenue recognition for hardware, software, and service arrangements, manage SEC-ready quarterly stock-based comp expense under ASC 718, and build a weekly cash flow forecast used by the CFO and executive team.
I’ve also served as a Site Finance Leader at Medtronic across multiple CA locations, leading a finance workstream for a SAP implementation that migrated sites from QuickBooks and QAD to Medtronic’s enterprise system. I built site-level policies, procedures, and internal controls for newly acquired entities, maintained G/L master data and chart of accounts, and managed annual standard cost updates without compromising quality.
Earlier at Cytrx Corporation, I handled SEC reporting (10-Q, 10-K, MD&A) and implemented SOX 404 documentation and internal controls. I managed acquisition purchase accounting, deconsolidation activity, led an ERP migration from Oracle to Great Plains, and brought SEC filings in-house—transitioning away from a third-party vendor to Edgar Filings to reduce ongoing costs.
