What I'm looking for

I’m looking to continue leading mental health and primary prevention programs for service members and communities—focusing on measurable outcomes, stigma reduction, and strong collaboration across military and civilian partners.

I’m a Psychological Health Program Manager for the Department of Defense, Alaska Air National Guard, responsible for strengthening the mental health and wellness footprint through connection, training, education, and consultation with service members. I focus on bridging service gaps, building relationships, and reducing mental health stigma—especially within the flying community.

Previously, as an Integrated Primary Prevention Officer (GS-13), I supervised a new federal initiative overseeing the creation, implementation, and execution of primary prevention programming. I planned and directed work tasks to minimize harmful behaviors such as suicide, domestic violence, substance abuse, child abuse, sexual harassment, and workplace misconduct, while identifying unit risk and protective factors. I also hired, trained, mentored, and appraised program staff and presented outcomes to military and community leadership, managing a large budget across separate pools (ANG and ARNG).

Earlier, I served as Director of Psychological Health for the 176th Wing, providing psychoeducation, mental health consultation, crisis response, information and referral, case management, and problem resolution for 1,500 service members and their families. I led community collaboration efforts to link individuals and families to agencies and providers that support optimum mental health functioning, including the use of a therapy dog, Bolt, to expand engagement with services. I was a breakout presenter at the 2017 DoD/VA Suicide Prevention Conference.

My background also includes Family Advocacy Outreach work as a subject matter expert in family violence prevention, as well as clinical leadership roles such as Clinical Manager and Clinician in community behavioral health. Across my career, I bring a prevention-first, relationship-driven approach—grounded in training facilitators, strengthening systems, and delivering practical support that helps people build safety, stability, and wellbeing.
