In 2005, my wife and I started a company called RJC Productions, we produced consumer events in large facilities (i.e. - Home & Garden Shows). My role in the company was all things digital which included websites, email blasts, content marketing, social media marketing, web banners, outdoor banners, PHP web applications, MySQL database management, magazine and newspaper ads. During this time I taught myself all of the skills that I needed to know to make sure that these events were successful in the best possible way.
In 2008, I did leave the company to rejoin the corporate world where I found myself working in a marketing department. In this position I again created web applications using PHP/MySQL, designed email blasts, edited video, and produced print materials. From there I moved on to being a full time PHP/MySQL web developer for a gas additive company.
I still support RJC Productions when I am needed while still freelance outside of the company.
