Dee Sweeney

I’m a Direct Support Professional and hands-on caregiver with experience supporting people with developmental disabilities, assisting with daily living activities (ADLs), and maintaining safe, attentive care. I also bring strong reliability from fast-paced work, including packing, picking, and stowing in a warehouse environment.

Across my roles at Merakey and other care settings, I’ve supported individuals through direct personal care, daily care routines, and patient observation—always staying mindful of dignity, communication, and confidentiality. I’ve also handled responsibilities tied to medication support, including “pass meds” and “Medication administration.”

My work background extends beyond care. I’ve delivered packages as a Delivery Driver, supported operations in housekeeping by “cleaned and maintained patient rooms,” and delivered customer-facing service as a Customer Service Representative—focusing on being “warm and professional” while assisting with questions and operating a cash drawer.

I’m certified in CPR and First Aid (plus BLS and AED), and I’m comfortable working with complex needs like “dementia care,” “Hoyer lift,” and “intellectual disabilities support.” I’m motivated by steady teamwork, clear communication, and doing the small details right—because that’s what protects people and improves outcomes.
