At Injibara University, I teach gross anatomy, histology, embryology, and neuroanatomy to medical and allied health sciences students. I demonstrate anatomy lab sessions, cadaveric dissection, and use of the Anatomage virtual table.
I participate in assessment and evaluation, curriculum design review, and research and community services committees. I also consult with newcomer and postgraduate students and collaborate with faculty members on academic and research initiatives.
As principal investigator on a project to reduce maternal and newborn morbidity and mortality during birth in Injibara Town, I worked on integrating traditional birth attendants and health care workers through a mixed institutional and community-based health education intervention. My work also includes community education on tuberculosis prevention and treatment with Zero TB Ethiopian Group Charity.
