At Mekelle University, I serve as an Associate Professor in Public Health and Head of the School of Public Health. I coordinate research on maternal and child health, including integrated surveys on service access and use in Tigray.
My work includes research on reproductive, maternal and newborn health in Afar, as well as studies addressing health needs in conflict-affected communities. I focus on vulnerable populations, including children, women, adolescents, refugees, internally displaced people and marginalized pastoralist communities.
