I am a dedicated and hardworking individual with a strong passion for research, particularly in the fields of biotechnology and environmental science. My academic journey culminated in a BSc. in Biotechnology from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, where I focused on the phytoremediation potential of Cyprus alternifolius on heavy metal polluted water. This project not only honed my research skills but also deepened my understanding of the critical role that science plays in addressing environmental challenges.

In my professional experience, I have worked as a Field Assistant on the UPSCALE Project, where I was responsible for data collection and analysis, monitoring crop growth, and conducting soil analysis. Additionally, my role as an Attachee at the Coffee Research Institute allowed me to assist in laboratory experiments and field studies, further enhancing my practical skills in biotechnological techniques. My leadership experience as Chairperson of the Jomo Kenyatta University Society of Biologists has equipped me with project management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
