Experienced hazardous materials manager focused on compliance and operations.
What I'm looking for
I am an experienced hazardous materials and environmental manager with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, efficient operations, and team leadership. I have led waste shipping and compliance efforts on Department of Defense projects and managed multi-disciplinary teams through complex closure and demolition activities.
In my current role I manage a 19-person waste shipping department for a DoD project, overseeing waste characterization, shipments, budget forecasting, and contracts worth hundreds of thousands of dollars. I serve as the project expert for RCRA and DOT regulations and liaise with regulators such as CDPHE, CDC, and the Department of the Army.
Previously I progressed through roles including Hazardous Waste Technician, Senior Lead, and Hazardous Waste Shipper, authoring procedures, administering hazardous materials systems, conducting audits of subcontracted TSD facilities, and training and mentoring technicians. I have hands-on experience preparing Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifests, managing hazardous storage areas, and coordinating with multiple stakeholders on high-risk shipments.
I hold a BA in Environmental Studies and multiple certifications including HAZWOPER, Reactive Chemical Technician training, and RCRA Title 40 training. I bring disciplined process management, regulatory expertise, and practical field experience to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient hazardous materials operations.
