Aaron Smith
@aaronsmith3
Environmental scientist and safety leader delivering compliant, mission-ready results.
What I'm looking for
I’m an environmental scientist with over 20 years of experience spanning environmental science, construction management, and occupational health and safety. I lead complex, high-stakes efforts that require strict compliance while keeping projects on time and under budget.
In my current role, I conduct in-depth research to abate and control environmental pollutants, design data collection strategies, and use advanced mathematical and statistical models to analyze pollution sources. Previously, I oversaw comprehensive environmental programs—covering air emissions, waste disposal, and marine mammal protection—while driving measurable operational improvements.
I’ve also led large-scale construction and safety responsibilities, managing more than $35M and $20M project portfolios across remote and high-risk environments. I build safety and environmental systems that teams adopt with consistency, including OSHA and EM-385-aligned compliance, risk assessment, incident investigation, and SOP-driven training.
