Staff software engineer building scalable, AI-enabled backend platforms and developer productivity solutions.
What I'm looking for
I’m a results-driven Staff Software Engineer with 12+ years designing and delivering scalable enterprise platforms, developer productivity solutions, digital commerce systems, and AI-powered applications.
I’ve led architecture and development of high-availability backend services, CI/CD platforms, real-time event and telemetry pipelines, and cloud-native systems that support millions of users across financial services and digital gaming.
Most recently at Wizards of the Coast, I architected and delivered core platform services for centralized eCommerce, entitlements, player identity, and digital content delivery—supporting over 2 million monthly active users. I designed and built distributed microservices with Python, TypeScript, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Kubernetes, and AWS, improving scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Earlier at USAA, I provided technical leadership for enterprise software delivery platforms supporting 18,000+ engineers, product teams, and business users. I partnered across risk, audit, and compliance to implement platform controls for FFIEC and enterprise governance, led CI/CD automation and resiliency efforts, and mentored engineers through reviews, design sessions, and best practices.
