Chris Dunn
@chrisdunn
Bioinformatic scientist modeling epigenetic signals to predict osteoarthritis progression.
What I'm looking for
I build predictive models from peripheral blood DNA methylation to forecast knee osteoarthritis radiographic progression, using data from the Osteoarthritis Initiative and the Johnston County Osteoarthritis Project.
At the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, I work on bioinformatics for sarcoidosis biomarkers and on GWAS efforts, translating complex biological signals into interpretable results.
During my PhD at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, I focused on osteoarthritis epigenetic biomarkers and regulatory T cell epigenetics, combining immune cell biology with DNA methylation and predictive modeling.
My research also spans cartilage microbial DNA signatures, machine learning for OA progression, and epigenetic editing approaches, supported by wet-lab experience in pyrosequencing, CRISPR/dCas9 & TET1 constructs, and flow cytometry.
