What I'm looking for
My name is Charles DiGiovanni, and I am an aspiring cybersecurity professional currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity at the Rochester Institute of Technology. With a GPA of 3.5, I have developed a strong foundation in various cybersecurity principles through relevant coursework, including Introduction to Cybersecurity and Programming for Information Security. My passion for technology is reflected in my 8+ years of programming experience, where I have honed my skills in languages such as C, C++, Python, and JavaScript.
In addition to my academic pursuits, I have engaged in hands-on projects that showcase my technical abilities. One notable project is the SSH Honeypot, which I developed using Python and the paramiko library. This honeypot emulates a terminal and logs all interactions, providing valuable insights into login attempts and command executions. I am also working on a custom steganography engine that utilizes various image and audio formats to conceal information, further demonstrating my commitment to exploring innovative solutions in cybersecurity.
Beyond my technical skills, I have gained valuable experience in customer service and operations management through my roles as a Student Worker at the DSP Campus Post Office and as an Assistant Manager at Camera Concepts and Telescope Solutions. These experiences have equipped me with strong communication, time management, and teamwork skills, which I believe are essential for success in the cybersecurity field.
