Noah Randall
@noahrandall
Aspiring cybersecurity analyst seeking SOC internship for threat hunting and vulnerability management.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Computer Science freshman at Florida A&M University building practical security skills through the Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate and coursework in cybersecurity foundations, networking essentials, and ethical hacking. I’m currently pursuing CompTIA Security+ and I’ve focused on turning fundamentals into hands-on capability—Linux, Python scripting, and core networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, and the OSI model.
In my Home Cybersecurity Lab, I built a virtualized environment with VirtualBox (Kali Linux, Ubuntu Server, and Windows VMs) to practice reconnaissance, vulnerability scanning, and packet capture. I ran Nmap service-version and OS-detection scans against Metasploitable2, then used Wireshark to capture and analyze traffic to spot cleartext credential exposure and DNS patterns. Outside of class, I expand my perspective through Rattler SECURE Club (CTFs, peer-led labs, and offensive/defensive workshops) and ISACA Student Club (IT audit, governance, risk management, and information security), and I’m eager to apply this momentum in SOC operations, security analysis, or vulnerability management.
