As a Senior Backend Engineer, I had the privilege of working remotely for a Sequoia backed dynamic legal tech startup that specialized in corporate governance and compliance.

My core responsibilities entailed building, maintain and providing comprehensive support for the API, ensuring its smooth and seamless integration with the frontend application.

During a contract assignment as the sole developer, I worked on an important project in child/minor’s safety space. The project aimed to prevent bullying and harassment on social media platforms by detecting and notifying parents in real-time while also maintaining the privacy of the dependents.

My responsibilities included developing both the API and iOS application, utilizing my expertise in backend and iOS development to create a seamless user experience. I was glad to be part of a talented team that helped deliver the product within 5 months.

I architected and implemented a sophisticated system on AWS that leveraged Google Search API to conduct a smart search using boolean queries. The system then crawled each search result, downloaded the page, cleaned the data, and performed internal searches on the entire text looking for specific patterns.

During the first two years of my employment, I served as an iOS developer, taking responsibility for building, and deploying two applications from the ground up. As my skills and expertise grew, I expanded my role to include backend development and data analysis. In this capacity, I was responsible for building APIs, creating automations, and developing programs to analyze data among many more.
