Carolina Gorlero
@carolinagorlero
Experienced psychologist specializing in gender, SUD, and community mental health.
What I'm looking for
I am an experienced psychologist with over 15 years working in community-based mental health and substance use disorders, focusing on gender, human rights and intercultural determinants. I combine clinical practice, program development and research to address stigma in prevention and treatment.
I have served as trainer and coordinator for international organizations (UNODC, IOM, PAHO, OAS/CICAD) and held leadership roles including program and treatment coordination, curriculum development and large-scale training implementation. I design virtual courses and manuals, and have led nationwide initiatives for vulnerable populations.
My research and publication record includes manuals, methodological guides and studies on treatment adherence, discharge processes and stigma, and I have built databases and monitoring indicators to track service provision for women with SUD. I currently serve on the ISSUP Global Board representing Latin America.
I seek roles where I can lead program design, training and evaluation in mental health and SUD, applying an intersectional, trauma-informed approach to improve access and quality for marginalized populations.
